INSTRUCTOR
Maggie Stone is a versatile musician and educator originally from Carolina Beach, North Carolina. She recently earned her Master of Music in Voice from the New England Conservatory, where she studied with soprano Carole Haber.
As a performer, Maggie enjoys performing music from a wide range of styles, including opera, musical theatre, pop, jazz, and commercial music. Her operatic roles include Adele in Die Fledermaus at the Franco American Vocal Arts program and Zerlina in Don Giovanni at Chicago Summer Opera. While pursuing classical voice, she spent years performing in musical theatre productions throughout North Carolina, appearing as Cinderella in Cinderella, Sandy in Grease, and Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She also has an extensive commercial music background, performing alongside her father’s band on cruise ships from a young age and earning multiple songs that reached the top of the Carolina beach music radio charts.
As a teacher, Maggie believes every student deserves to develop a healthy, confident, and authentic voice, regardless of the instrument they play. Drawing inspiration from Alexander Technique and yoga, she emphasizes efficient body alignment, freedom of movement, and sustainable technique that supports musicians in any style. Whether students are preparing for auditions, building confidence, or simply performing for the joy of it, Maggie strives to create a supportive environment where each individual can discover and celebrate their own unique voice.
