Andrew Owens is a professional trumpet performer from Southern California and has been an active musician for eleven years. Andrew has performed in multiple states of the US including Southern California, Boston, New York; and he has performed internationally with a tour of China with performances in Beijing and Shanghai. In Southern California Andrew was part of the Temecula Valley and Southland Symphony orchestra in Ontario. Aside from performing in wind ensembles and orchestras, Andrew has performed in multiple pit orchestras for productions of musicals such as A Chorus Line and Music man. He has also performed with artists such as Chaz West, Chris Broderick, Silk Road and Randy Jackson. He has also taught privately for five years and enjoys passing on the art form. The first instrument he took up was violin at the age of four and was taught by his mom for seven years. At the age of thirteen Andrew started taking trumpet lessons from Ray Nowak in 2008 and has turned that passion into his profession. Andrew received his undergrad from CSUF and studied with Barry Perkins of PSO and is currently pursuing his master’s at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and is studying with Joseph Foley.
