Cassidy Cantu

INSTRUCTOR

Cassidy is a songwriter and musician from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Growing up in a musical family, she started her musical journey early. At seven, she was learning trumpet and singing in a choir. By 15, Cassidy was playing trumpet and bass in a jazz band, cello in an orchestra, and singing in a choir. All the while, she was teaching herself to play guitar at home. Following her dreams of being an artist, Cassidy continued her music education on scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Songwriting in 2023. As both a classically trained vocalist and a girl who writes and loves pop/rock music, Cassidy has mastered singing in a multitude of genres, from singing opera in Carnegie Hall to performing her original music with her band on stage; she’s also played/sang in a Mariachi band and other Latin music groups. Currently, Cassidy is working on her debut album, and sharing her love for music with her students, with hopes of inspiring…
