Kevin Sells has performed with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale, Lubbock Civic Orchestra, Lubbock’s Moonlight Summer Musicals and Rockwall’s Community Theater. He was a member of the Texas Tech Gradate Brass Quintet; SMOS Brass that traveled and performed all around the West Texas region. Kevin is currently working to obtain a Masters in trumpet performance at Boston Conservatory at Berklee where he studies under Thomas Siders. Prior to Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Kevin received his Bachelors in trumpet performance at Texas Tech University, where he studied under Will Strieder and Allen Vizzutti, and jazz studies with Ben Haugland and Stephen Jones.

Age I started lessons: I started lessons from my dad at 7 years old.
Performance Experience: Played with a few orchestras in West Texas and have played in a large amount of operas and musicals.
Favorite Music to Listen: I enjoy listening to Baroque and Classical music, works from Bach, Haydn, and Mozart. I also enjoy listening to jazz like Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington.
Favorite Music to Play: I enjoy playing in Operas and Musicals, the smaller pit orchestra allows me to really feel like I am hearing and communicating with every other musician in the ensemble.
