INSTRUCTOR
Li Chang is a Taiwanese pianist with doctoral-level training in Piano Performance at George Mason University, where she serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA). She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Tainan University of Technology in 2021, during which she won the university’s concerto competition and performed the entire MacDowell Piano Concerto No. 2 with the university orchestra. She later continued her graduate studies in the United States, where she has worked extensively in both solo performance and collaborative settings.
During her graduate studies, Li attended Lee University on a full scholarship, where she won another concerto performance opportunity with the orchestra, received an Outstanding Recital Award, and was nominated to join the Iota Epsilon chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda (PKL). She has also actively participated in masterclasses with internationally recognized pianists, including Ian Hobson, Eric Zuber, Christopher Guzman, and other distinguished artists.
As a Teaching Assistant for Keyboard Skills I & II at George Mason University, Li works closely with university-level students in piano proficiency, sight-reading, technique, harmonization, and musicianship training.
In addition to her academic achievements, Li continues to perform at a high level. This past July, she had the opportunity to perform the whole Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2, collaborating with and learning from wonderful professors and musicians, including members of Taiwan’s National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) and several university faculty members.
