Lisa Barone
ADMINISTRATION
Lisa Barone graduated with her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music. She also received her Professional Studies Certificate there in 2017.
Previous credits include Suzuki in Madame Butterfly with Raylynmor Opera, Mirabella in Johann Strauss II’s Der Zigeunerbaron, Thètis in Jacques Ibert’s Persèe et Androméde, Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Deuxieme sorcière in Bloch’s Macbeth and Despina in Così fan tutte, with the MSM Opera Theater program. She has performed in the Verdi Square Festival of the Arts, the William Bolcom Festival at New England Conservatory and the New England Conservatory Contemporary Music Festival. Her choral repertoire includes Verdi’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation and Carmina Burana, all performed at Carnegie Hall as a former choral scholar with the Oratorio Society of New York.
When Ms. Barone isn’t performing, she is the alto section leader at First Parish in Brookline and teaching privately.
She enjoys working in the arts administrative circuit because she considers it a ‘behind the scenes’ operation, making sure things run smoothly, all the while fostering great relationships with everyone from the teachers, to the students and their parents. She looks forward to making everyone’s experience at Go Go Allegro a comfortable, uplifting and organized one.
