Mitchell Selib is a guitarist, composer, and educator currently living in Boston, MA. In 2013, Mitchell enrolled at Berklee College of Music after being awarded a full tuition scholarship and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Performance. Mitchell has studied under notable instructors such as Mick Goodrick, Hal Crook, Greg Hopkins, and Jerry Bergonzi, and Mike Moreno.
Primarily a performer, Mitchell routinely performs throughout the New England area and has appeared at notable venues like The Regattabar, Scullers Jazz Club, the Berklee Performance Center, the Beantown Jazz Festival, the Louisville Jazz Festival, and the Newport Jazz festival with musicians such as Terence Blanchard, Sean Jones, and Jerry Bergonzi, and Jason Palmer.
Mitchell has been teaching guitar and general music lessons to students of all ages and abilities for the past 8 years. Mitchell strongly believes in teaching to a student’s strengths and learning style (as opposed to following a strict curriculum) and teaching to a student’s strengths.
