Favorite Music to Perform – In the past year (2020-2021), my favorite performance experiences were playing and singing worship songs on Sunday mornings with the band at my church in Bozeman, MT and playing hymns for funerals (for real!)  Recently singing Martin Sexton songs with the Family Folk Chorale in Arlington.

Favorite Music to Listen to – I love everything with Chris Thile, Punch Brothers, I’m With Her, Mark Knopfler, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Sting, and Innocence Mission
Something most people don’t know about you – I spent 3 months in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1995 teaching English
Other hobbies & interests – I love knitting, hiking, going to Good Harbor, learning about regenerative agriculture and ancestral eating and wellness
Where you were born & grew up – I was born in Springfield, Missouri and grew up in southeast Oklahoma and southwest Missouri
Heros – Chris Thile, Kelly Brogan, Joel Salatin, Tara Couture, Sara Baker
Practice Tips – Listen to the music you are learning. When you encounter a challenging spot in your music, isolate that passage and repeat it until it’s easy.  If done correctly, this will be quite annoying to anyone listening!
