Recital Guidelines

Performance Scheduling

Performance times are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed once all slots are filled. Each recital is expected to last approximately 60 minutes.

Registration & Instructor Consultation

This performance event is open to currently registered Go Go Allegro students of all ages and levels, but please do not register for this event without first discussing it with your instructor. Each family is responsible for registering their student(s) after confirming with the instructor that this is an appropriate and positive performance opportunity. All performance opportunities with Go Go Allegro are optional. Teachers may not be present at all recital times during the event.

Repertoire

Students may perform one or two pieces with a combined time limit of four minutes. Repertoire details must be submitted at the time of registration. Programs will be distributed digitally for audience members to follow along.

Accompanist Arrangements

For vocal and instrumental students, Go Go Allegro will assume no piano accompanist is required unless otherwise noted on the registration form. If piano accompaniment is requested, a $25 fee will be invoiced separately by email.

Arrival & Seating

Students should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled recital time and check in with a staff member. Doors will open 10 minutes prior to performance start time.  Performers are seated together in program order to ensure smooth transitions.

Dress Code

Dress in your performance best!  Clothing should look appropriate for the stage; casual t-shirts, ripped jeans, and overly casual outfits should be avoided.

Attendance & Support

All performers and guests are expected to remain through the end of the recital, brief awards presentation, and group photo. Students and families are welcome at performance events to support other performers, and non-performing students are encouraged to attend as part of the community.

Event Cost and Deadlines

Registration Fee

A non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student is required at the time of registration.

Registration Deadline

The deadline to register for the holiday performance is May 1, 2026. After this date, families may request to be added to the waiting list by emailing admin@gogoallegro.com but placement is not guaranteed.

Spring Formal Recital FAQ

What should my student bring with them the day of the performance?

A concert piano, music stands, an amp, and a microphone will be provided by the school or facility. Students should bring their own instruments (if applicable) and any sheet music they will need.

My student just started lessons. Is performing in this recital appropriate?

Please consult your instructor before registering. All ages and levels are welcome, but the priority is making sure each student has a positive, confidence-building experience. If your student is not ready to perform, consider attending as an audience member so they can observe, become familiar with the event, and cheer on their peers.

Will my instructor be at all of the recital times?

Due to the length of the event, instructors may not be present at all recital times. However, our full administrative team will be on-site throughout to ensure the event runs smoothly and successfully for all performers.

Can I invite family and friends to watch my student perform?

Absolutely! There is no ticket fee, and performers are encouraged to invite as many family members and friends as they’d like to share in the celebration.
