INSTRUCTOR

An experienced musician and educator with passions for pedagogy, arts marketing, directing, research, and conducting, William D. Aldenberg feels equally at home both on and backstage. William’s first musical love is nineteenth-century lieder, though he actively performs many genres, including opera, oratorio, contemporary art song, and musical theater. He currently sings at the First Baptist Church of Medford in Medford, MA. William has earned his Master of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma in Vocal Performance from Longy School of Music, and a B.M. in Vocal Performance and B.A. in Music History from the University of Connecticut.

With a strong, multi-faceted background, William has honed his teaching skills, working on a wide variety of genres and styles with both voice and piano students at Go Go Allegro.

Heroes – My musical heroes are Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, but my everyday heroes are my closest friends and family members.
 
Practice Tips – Plan your practice time! Don’t enter a practice session blindly – choose a select few things to work on (song text, a technical exercise, etc.). You’ll find that the practice sessions are more rewarding if you have a plan.
